Summer Camps & Other Programs Continue

Each year the Temple Learning Center Summer Camp takes place in our Fellowship Hall. Directed by Voloria Manning, the camp provides a safe place for 30+ children to be together, have fun and discover the love of Christ. The Camp runs from June 3rd to August 9th, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A small breakfast and lunch is served and often field trips for special activities are planned. SUMMER BREAKSPOT FREE FOOD PROGRAM CONTINUES UNTIL AUGUST 9th Provided by the Florida Dept. of Agriculture Division of Consumer Relations, the Summer Breakspot Program is set up all over the state to provide children up to 18 years of age a small breakfast meal and a small lunch meal that is nutritionally balanced. The only requirements are the age requirement and that the meal(s) must be eaten on the premises of the location they come to. Income information is not needed. Many children rely on the school-based food programs during the year to help many families with the struggle to provide food, and during the summer months with schools closed, these families sometimes cannot provide enough food for all the family. Summer Breakspot helps to bridge this gap.
